If you work hard and play harder, give your body something back, with a tailored therapeutic sports massage.
A Sports massage can benefit you not just physically but, also mentally. Whether you are an athlete or a receptionist,the benefits of a sports massage should make it an important part of you life.
Physically, we put our bodies through a lot and even push ourselves to our maximum to achieve our goals. Sports massage helps reduce the pain in your muscles and releasing endorphins throughout the body, leaving your muscles feeling relaxed and stimulated to support your body’s recovery.
Benefits of Sports Massage on the body include:
* Assisting in mental preparation for sporting participation.
* Maintaining the body in a better condition.
* Preventing injuries and loss of mobility.
* Curing and restoring mobility and range of movement to injured muscle tissue.
* Helping boost performance.
* Extending the overall life of your sporting/working career.
At Limelight Fitness we have also had the opportunity to work with many clients who suffer with the debilitating condition called Fibromyalgia, the most common symptoms of which are chronic pain and reduced movement. Although the causes are unclear, fibromyalgia flare-ups can be the result of stress, physical trauma, or an apparently unrelated systemic illness like the flu.
Although there is no cure, most common treatment strategies include medication, exercise, and physical therapy including massage which has been known to help many individuals who suffer with Fibromyalgia.
The goal of any treatment is to reduce pain, improve sleep and relieve associated symptoms. Having treated Fibromyalgia clients on a regular basis I have developed a key understanding of effective massage therapy techniques. These help to relieve the symptoms of Fibromyalgia and so help bring a reduced level of bodily pain.
